Thinking about changing solicitors?

Are you thinking about changing solicitors on your personal injury or medical negligence case?

Davey Law regularly take on cases that have been poorly handled by other solicitors.  Sometimes our clients’ previous lawyers have failed to obtain the right evidence, recognise the significance of an injury or simply do not have the expertise or connections to know where to turn for the right medical opinion.  Some people simply lose confidence in their lawyer.  If any of this sounds familiar, talk to us about changing solicitors.

The way your claim is being handled may simply not quite meet your expectations.  If you are part way through the process of making your claim but are not happy with the service being provided by your legal team, then you are well within your rights to change solicitors.

No two claims are ever the same. Our personal injury experts will discuss your claim with you and any concerns you may have about your current solicitor. We may ask you, in strict confidence, to show us copies of documents such as medical reports and correspondence you have received from your current solicitor. That will help us to decide how we can help you and provide you with a plan of action to transfer your case to us and get your claim back on track.

Common Reasons for Wanting to Change Solicitors

  • Lack of communication.  You never hear from your solicitor and have to chase them for updates. You feel that you aren’t being given enough information. They do not seem to be helping you to make decisions and leave you with no option but to agree or disagree with a particular course of action. Or you feel that they are not being clear when answering questions about their charges.
  • You just don’t understand why it is all taking so long, and your solicitor doesn’t seem able to explain.
  • Clash of personalities. Maybe you just don’t like your lawyer or believe that they are not doing their best for you.
  • No point of contact. It is dispiriting when you feel like you are always being passed from pillar to post and told that someone new is handling your claim.  You always seem to speak to an assistant rather than the lawyer dealing with your case.

Nobody can stop you from changing solicitors, especially if you are unhappy, so get in touch with us and let’s talk things through. You won’t be under any obligation to instruct us.

If you do decide to instruct us, you won’t have to deal further with your current solicitor, you can leave everything to us.

Many clients comment that contacting us was one of the best decisions they have ever made. Our success stories speak for themselves.

Compensation can help rebuild your life and even after your claim has ended, we are still here to help and support you. We are experts in personal injury trusts and the Court of Protection.

How can we help?

Sometimes when using a service, things don’t quite meet our expectations. Peter Davies and Julie Long regularly take over cases from other firms where they simply didn’t have the expertise to handle the specialist nature of the injury.

Our lawyers are experts in reviewing and taking on cases from other solicitors part way through a claim when the client has been unhappy with the service.  You are completely within your rights to change lawyer and should not hesitate to contact us if you have concerns about the way your case is being handled.

If you would like to talk to us about taking over your claim, call or email us we will explain the process, free of charge and without obligation.
